2007 Moab Easter Jeep Safari

Saturday, April 14, 2007
There's not much more we can say about the Moab Easter Jeep Safari that we haven't already said...but we'll try. Once again the Red Rocks 4-Wheelers put on a great event. The weather couldn't have been any better with upper 70°s the whole week. The town was as full as expected and the new Jeep JK Wranglers were EVERYWHERE. We were able to spend a little time on the trails before the vendor show later in the week. We ran Gold Bar Rim, Poison Spider, Kane Creek, played a bit in Pritchett Canyon and enjoyed some media sponsored events out at Area BFE south of town.

This year we packed our trailer with The Orange Cherokee and 4 door JK Wrangler. It was good to get the JK out on the slickrock. We got a chance to test it's abilities out at Area BFE and we're pretty happy with it's articulation and handling. Cruising down the highway you'd never know we were running 35" BFG Mud Terrains, it rode better than stock. Out on the trail we missed the lockers from our TJ Rubicon that we brought out last year but that was about it.

The Orange XJ was it's reliable old self. Point it and go! The BFG Krawlers will pull you up all the fun Moab has to offer. Although Lion's Back and Potato Salad Hill were off limits. Apparently the property around Lion's Back was purchased by a land developer and Potato Salad Hill was closed. We're not sure if that's for good or just for the week of the Safari.
