The WJ Rear Upper Long Travel 3-link is now available! With over 3 years of testing, this kit is a monster!
The frame mounting points are 7/8" heim joints with ultra-high misalignment spacers. No drilling is required for installation. The construction of the link is 1.5" x 0.375-wall DOM tubing that is CNC threaded to accept the heim joints. The tubes intersect into a fully machined bracket that mounts at the axle end. The tubes are fully inserted the bracket and then welded for unparalleled strength. Further, a gusset is laser-keyed into the tubes and housing to create a bulletproof link. A 1.25" spherical rod end is used at the axle mounting point and 7/8" heims are used at the frame end; can you say overkill? The link even has tabs welded in place to secure the brake line...this is yet another Rusty's exclusive!
The factory bracket bolted to the axle is replaced with heavy-duty 3/8" thick horizontal bracket that allows the 1.25" spherical end complete, free movement (unlike a ball joint link). The axle bracket is also raised and moved rearward to lengthen the three link. All of the hardware is replaced with Grade 8 fasteners and the entire assembly is completely rebuildable.
To round things out, this system requires NO exhaust modifications. This is absolutely the strongest and easiest to install 3-Link for a WJ on the market today!
