Description
The fuel tanks on XJs are particularly vulnerable to trail damage; they hang low and seem to be a target for rocks and other trail obstacles. Keep that tank protected and secure with one of Rusty's Trail Tested Fuel Tank Skid Plate! Built of 3/16" thick steel that has been laser-cut and CNC formed for a precise fit, Rusty's skid plate encases the bottom and sides of the tank for total protection. The plate also bolts to the Jeep's unibody; none of that factory strap-style mounting here! It even comes in a durable black powder coated finish. All of the hardware needed is included. Clearance of trailer hitches could be an issue, due to the age of the vehicle, the hitches are made by different manufactures than the first run of Mopar hitches. We have tried to fit it to as many as we could get measurements for but modifications may have to be made.
