The Dana 35 was used in the rear of many non-Rubicon 07-11 Jeep JKs and 97-06 Jeep TJs, many 84-01 Jeep XJ Cherokees, all 87-96 Jeep YJs, and many 93-98 ZJ Grand Cherokees. It is easiest to identify by it's 10-bolt differential cover that is close to round. Most of the diff covers also use a rubber fill plug rather than a conventional pipe plug.
Note that the Dana 35 has a carrier split between 3.31 and 3.54. When changing from a higher (numerically lower) gear ratio to a lower (numerically higher) gear ratio, you will need a low ratio carrier. For example, if you currently have a Dana 35 with 3:31 or higher (3.07, 2.73, etc) gears and are swapping to a lower (3.55, 4.10. 4.56, etc) ratio, you will need a low ratio carrier. (On 1992 and earlier Dana 35 axles you will also need to purchase a Genuine Spicer Spider Gear Overhaul Kit Part# 10020717 when purchasing a the Dana 35 Low Ratio Carrier.
