Engineered specifically for lifted JL Wranglers and JT Gladiators, this newest generation design features a massive 7/8" machined DOM tubing body paired with an upgraded 16mm x 1.5 threaded adjustment rod. Compared to previous 12mm designs, the larger threaded portion and body create a noticeably beefier disconnect capable of handling aggressive trail use and larger tires.
Why Disconnect Your Jeep JL Wrangler or JT Gladiator Sway Bar?
The factory front anti-sway bar plays an important role on the street. It connects the left and right sides of the suspension and helps reduce body roll during cornering, keeping the vehicle more stable and level while driving. That works great for handling and everyday road manners.
However, off road that same sway bar limits suspension articulation because it resists independent wheel movement. When one side compresses, the sway bar transfers force to the opposite side, reducing how much the axle can flex. By disconnecting the sway bar from the axle, you allow the suspension to move freely. This keeps your tires planted on uneven terrain, improves traction, and helps you maintain forward momentum through rocks, ruts, and other obstacles.
Polyurethane high misalignment spherical bushings provide smooth articulation while maintaining stability when connected. When properly adjusted, your suspension performs normally on the street. Pull the pins and free up the front sway bar for increased suspension flex and improved off-road traction in seconds.
