JK front axle tubes are notoriously weak and are susceptible to bending when larger tires and heavy use are added to the mix. The Rusty's JK front axle truss fits like a glove and doesn't have to be put together like a jigsaw puzzle. The 3/16-inch laser cut steel components that make up the bracket are then CNC formed and robotically welded for a precise fit. The truss is pre-assembled and conforms to the axle right out of the box, so no tedious welding of individual components is needed. This prevents you from having to weld so much, which has the added benefit of keeping some of the heat out of the axle housing.
Competitors with axle truss kits simply don't have the advanced manufacturing equipment to hold tight tolerances necessary to allow their truss kits to fit correctly, hence the erector set trusses. We offer trusses to fit both the Dana 30 and Dana 44 front housing; they look very similar but each axle requires their own unique truss. Weld in a Rusty's truss, add one of our JK Wrangler Dana 30/44 Inner "C" Gusset Kit (Part# RC-RAMAG440-JK), and add a set of chromoly axle shafts, and you have a pretty heavy duty axle that's ready for the trail.
